The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Durham is proud to announce its annual Safety Expo, taking place on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Durham College South Village Residence (32 Commencement Dr., Oshawa). This year’s event is generously sponsored by Elexicon Energy and focuses on youth empowerment and mental wellness.
Coinciding with World Suicide Prevention Day, the Safety Expo aims to connect young people with vital mental health resources, expert insights, and community support. The event will feature interactive booths, educational presentations, and opportunities to engage with professionals on topics such as suicide prevention, transgender care and safety, and overall well-being.
The Expo will include participation from key community partners and offer attendees a wide range of tools and information to support themselves and others.
CMHA Durham will be handing out special wellness kits generously provided by Elexicon. The kits are loaded with wellness tools and information to help students navigate the new school year while looking after their mental health.
