Mental Health 101: A 4 week workshop

Mental Health 101 is a FREE four 1.5-hour sessions taking place on a weekly basis. We introduce the broad concept of mental health and mental illness and further discuss stigma, stress, anxiety, and depression.  In this workshop you will learn about what mental health and illness means to you, and how you can discover your own unique strategies to manage/cope with symptoms, as well as the impact, these symptoms may have for you and your day to day life. We talk about what stigma means, and how it can put barriers up to those seeking help. Stress, Anxiety and Depression become the main topics within this workshop and we discuss the various forms these illnesses can present themselves in different people, and how each of us responds to the challenging behaviours that come as a result of our moods, thoughts, etc

Learn about general mental health in a group setting. Ask questions, learn lots, & meet new people.
